Eewoud Lievens is a PhD candidate at the Division of Bioeconomics, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, at KU Leuven. He obtained a MSc in Bioscience Engineering, specialised in Agricultural Sciences, from Ghent University. His MSc thesis on the calibration of the FAO AquaCrop model brought him to North-eastern Thailand, where a calibration experiment was set up. Eewoud first gained experience working as Programme Manager for the Environmental Innovation Platform hosted by i-Cleantech Vlaanderen. At KU Leuven, he is working on the projects SUFISA and SURE-Farm, studying various aspects of the European Common Agricultural Policy.
